Limits and Important Notes

How the AP Calc BC Score Is Estimated

MCQ and FRQ raw scores are each converted to percentages and multiplied by 50%.

The combined composite is compared with editable planning thresholds for the estimated 1–5 result.

Formula

Composite = MCQ% × 0.50 + FRQ% × 0.50

Example

31 of 42 MCQs and 38 of 54 FRQ points produce a composite of about 72.06%.

  • The result is an unofficial practice estimate.
  • Current default planning cutoffs are 5 ≥ 65%, 4 ≥ 53%, 3 ≥ 40%, and 2 ≥ 28%. They are estimates and can be adjusted in Advanced scoring settings.
  • It does not calculate the separate Calculus AB subscore.
  • Defaults follow the announced May 2027 MCQ count; change points possible when using an older or custom practice test.
